Leica Biosystems Launches HistoCore CHROMAX Workstation, Advancing its Coverslipping and Staining Portfolio

January 28, 2025 – Nussloch, Germany. Leica Biosystems, a global leader in anatomic pathology, is known for its high-quality histology solutions. Today, the company announced the next iteration in its staining and coverslipping portfolio, the HistoCore CHROMAX Workstation (WS).

Today, many laboratories must manually keep a record of how many slides have gone through their histology stainers to know when it’s time to replace reagents. The HistoCore CHROMAX WS automates this process with a reagent management system, enabling technicians to focus their limited time elsewhere.

The HistoCore CHROMAX WS brings staining and coverslipping into the modern age with graphical, touch-screen interfaces, making it a breeze for technicians to adjust settings and track staining progress.

“This new workstation is the culmination of more than 150 years of innovation,” said Hermann Hopermann, Senior Director of R&D for Core Histology at Leica Biosystems. “Customers can expect high-quality results for both routine and special stains with the HistoCore CHROMAX WS.”

HistoCore CHROMAX WS is available in select countries. Consult your local representative for details.
