Leica Biosystems Announces HistoCore LIGHTNING S Next-Generation Laser Slide Printer

December 4, 2024, Nussloch, Germany. - Leica Biosystems has announced a new printing solution to optimize laboratory workflow using laser technology. The HistoCore LIGHTNING S is an on-demand and batch laser printer optimized for use with Leica Biosystems’ staining solutions. The laser etching technology in the printer delivers consistent print quality, enhanced efficiency and strong uptime.

Laboratorians who use inkjet or thermal ribbon printers are required to frequently manage replacement of printing consumables. With the HistoCore LIGHTNING S laser printer, this process is eliminated, allowing for reduced maintenance and a lower cost of ownership.

The HistoCore LIGHTNING S slide printer also provides flexibility by supporting both on-demand and batch printing, all while maintaining the high quality that Leica Biosystems equipment is known for.
