Pål Suhrke, Pathologist and Head of the Pathology Department at Vestfold Hospital, shares his experience leading the implementation of digital pathology in his region. In 2019, the hospital transitioned from traditional microscopy to digital imaging, becoming a pilot hospital for the region. Despite initial concerns about the transition, the high quality of digital images and the efficiency of the new system quickly won over the team. Today, the digital approach is preferred for diagnostic work.
