Features and Benefits of Your Technology

Automated Spatial Profiling with SignalStar™ Multiplex IHC

  • Generate Results in Two Days: Stain 10 8-plex samples in just two days utilizing preloaded protocols on the BOND RX research stainer.
  • Save Hands-On Time: Automation on the BOND RX research stainer removes up to 12 hours of hands-on time from the SignalStar workflow. Schedule staining runs overnight to align with your research timelines.
  • Redesign Panels Easily: Create your panel in four simple steps using the SignalStar Multiplex IHC Panel Builder. Panels work out of the box and give you the flexibility to swap biomarkers as your research needs change.
  • Amplify Your Signal: SignalStar amplification enables detection of low abundance biomarkers and offers a wide, dynamic range of detection.
  • Use Existing Imaging Instrumentation: SignalStar panels are compatible with most fluorescent imagers, using fluorescent channels of 488, 594, 647, and 750 nm.
  • Trust Your Results: SignalStar antibodies and conjugates are rigorously validated to provide accurate, reliable, and reproducible results. Protocols are validated to demonstrate reproducibility across different antibody combinations, experiments, and imaging instruments.

Research Focus

SignalStar Multiplex IHC offers a wide variety of biomarkers spanning across immuno-oncology, tumor microenvironment, neurodegeneration and more. Here are two examples of multiplex panels showcasing its ability to address key scientific questions.

T- Cell Exhaustion Panel

Characterizing precise T- cell states can help predict immune responsiveness in tumors.

Tumors suppress T cells, the body's natural tumor-fighting agents. The PD-L1 ligand on tumors binds to the PD-1 transmembrane receptor and inhibits T- cell activation. Immune checkpoint blockade of this pathway can reverse immune suppression and empower T cells to target and eliminate tumors. This mIHC panel allows you to integrate this pathway and a critical T- cell state, T- cell exhaustion, to increase/improve the accuracy of cancer therapy assessments.

Macrophage Polarization Panel

Macrophages are a critical component of the tumor microenvironment (TME), regulating tumor growth and progression. Characterizing the polarization of macrophages in the TME is required for further understanding and therapeutically targeting anti-tumor immune responses. M1-polarized macrophages expressing HLA-DRA and CD11c are mainly involved in pro-inflammatory, anti-tumoral responses, while M2-polarized macrophages expressing CD206 and CD163 are mainly involved in anti-inflammatory, pro-tumoral responses. This mIHC panel enables you to distinguish between these two critical macrophage cell states.
